In 2004 Orange came to us looking for a mobile based solution to deliver its 2-4-1 cinema ticket promotion known as Orange Wednesdays
Solution:
tixmob developed a simple SMS shortcode system whereby Orange customers could text in each week to receive a 2-4-1 ticket directly to their mobile. This is then redeemed at participating cinemas, using our patented technology.
Result:
More than 100,000 people use Orange Wednesdays every week, redeeming tickets at 95% of the cinemas in the UK. Orange Wednesdays has made Wednesday the 3rd most popular day to go to the cinema.
