What are Mobile Tickets?

Mobile tickets are special tickets sent to your mobile phone.There are some really good reasons why we do this:

1. Mobile tickets are cheaper! Normal tickets incur charges for printing and postage and packing. Because we don't have these charges, we pass on the cost savings to you!

2. Mobile tickets are more reliable! We send your ticket immediately. No need to wait for tickets to be delivered through the post.

3. Mobile tickets are green! Because there is no need for printing or paper, we help the environment.

4. Never lose your ticket! Since these are electronic tickets, you can resend your ticket to yourself. 

What do Mobile Tickets look like?

An example tixmob mobile ticket is shown below:

The ticket is sent as an SMS text message and will appear in your SMS message inbox. 

The tickets contain a special secure barcode - this looks like a box containing fuzzy dots. Believe it or not this is actually a barcode and the ticket inspector will scan that barcode straight off the phone screen. 

All our tickets are also sent with an associated pin number, just in case there is a problem with the barcode for whatever reason.

The rest of the ticket contains information about the event. 

Will my phone support Mobile Tickets?

Most phones support our form of mobile ticket. We send the ticket using a special form of SMS (text message).  When you use the tixmob service, you tell us the make of your mobile phone and we then use this information to make sure that the message is optimised for your phone.

There are a few phones that don't fully support these messages. For these phones you will still receive a message but the barcode may be missing. Don't worry though. you'll still be able to get into the event using just the pin number.
